Timelines and Leftovers                                               

Leftovers and Timelines are eclectic arrangements of objects on elastic cord that reconsiders my connection with objects I have collected that now lay hidden in boxes. Both series re-imagines the aesthetic association that first brought these objects to my attention and re-purposes materials I no longer use or need by transforming them into works of art.

Leftovers: Hung Out to Dry: Leftovers references an abacus, a form of counting or measuring time symbolized by the objects on the elastic cord. The work reflects a long-time interest in the Quipu, a series of knotted strings used by the Incas for keeping records of information related to their daily life.
